OPEN CALL – Workshop with Dalija Acin Thelander in Nuuk
Are you a dancer or do you work with movement, theatre, music, or performance? Are you curious about the creation and performance of immersive works dedicated to young audiences with disabilities and integrated audiences?
You now have the opportunity to participate in a free workshop with Dalija Acin Thelander and learn more about her method.
Dalija will share her research and artistic practice especially dedicated to young audience with diverse developmental profiles.

We offer
A creative and experimental space with focus on exploration and exchange
Coverage of travel expenses and accommodation for participants living in the Nordic countries (Denmark, Finland, the Faroe Islands, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden or Åland).
Participants from outside the Nordic countries are welcome to apply; however, travel expenses can only be covered for participants based in the Nordic region.
Lunch during the workshop.
Practical Information
Participation is free of charge.
No fee or honorarium will be paid.
The workshop will be conducted in English.
When and Where
29 September – 3 October 2026, Katuaq, Greenland’s Cultural Centre, Imaneq 21, 3900 Nuuk, Greenland
From 10:00–17:00 each day. All participants are expected to be present full time.
Please note: The workshop marks the beginning of a longer artistic process. Selected dancers who will be part of the final performance will continue working with Dalija in the following two weeks.

As soon as possible and no later than August 15th. Applications will be reviewed as they are received, and places are limited.

NAPA – The Nordic Institute in Greenland is a cultural institution under the Nordic Council of Ministers and is situated in Greenland’s capital Nuuk. We develop, support and stimulate the Greenlandic and Nordic cultural life with special focus on children and youth. We provide support to both professionals and amateurs, and we develop our own projects in collaboration with other Nordic and Greenlandic cultural actors.
NAPA seeks to be a starting point for creative meetings, exchanges, relationships, and networks.
2026 marks the 40-year anniversary of NAPA.
This workshop is also the starting point of a new work titled Groove-o-rama, developed in partnership with The National Acting School of Greenland.

Together with the French photographer Charlotte Lakits, NAPA has created writing workshops for young people. From thought to paper to portray modern young people in Greenland The atmosphere was intense and lively at the two writing workshops so far, which NAPA has helped to realize.
A look back at Suialaa Arts Festival 2025
Suialaa Arts Festival 2025 took place in Nuuk from 23–26 October. The festival is Greenland’s largest recurring cultural event, held every two years. NAPA is proud co-owner of the festival together with Kommuneqarfik Sermersooq. This year, Suialaa unfolded throughout Nuuk with concerts, theatre, dance performances, exhibitions, literary events, seminars, workshops and shared meeting spaces for artists and audiences.
