Record number of applications to Nordic Arctic Programme
Thank you for all the applications for the Nordic Arctic Programme! We received a record number of applications this year: 64 applications in total!
NAPA’s director Susanne Andreasen is thrilled about the received applications:
“We have received a record number of qualified applications, with a great span on the Nordic and Arctic cooperation. The guiding principle for Nordic Arctic Programme is resilience, and strong civil communities in the Arctic. And this is something that has been well received by the applicants, which shows that there is a need for this programme. Now we look forward to processing all the applications and then being able to grant funds so that concrete initiatives can be launched.”
The process of preparing all the applications for the evaluation group has now been started. The applications are assessed by an evaluation board from Ilisimatusarfik, who prepare a written evaluation on the background of their relevant professional competences within the field of subject.
Research coordinator Clement Pindstrup Scavenius from Ilisimatusarfik is equally excited to start the process with the evaluation group:
“The evaluation committee is eagerly looking forward to reviewing the record-breaking number of applications received for the program. It will be a challenging but essential task to identify which applications to recommend for funding. With such strong competition this year and so many outstanding proposals, the process will be even tougher—but also more important and very exciting.“
Nordic Arctic Programme is oriented toward external applicants, individuals as well as organizations, and it supports locally rooted co-operation in the Nordic and the Arctic. The programme is launched by Nordic Council of Ministers and is administered by NAPA, there is one annual application deadline.
