Vi er Vestnorden

We are the West Nordics

In collaboration with Norden i Skolen, the Nordic House in Reykjavik and the Nordic House in the Faroe Islands, we have created the project “We are the West Nordics”.

“We are the West Nordics” is a teaching course for class 7-10, which focuses on what language means to our identity. The material is primarily aimed at students and teachers in the three West Nordic countries Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Greenland, but can also be used in other Nordic countries.

The aim of the course is to get the young people to reflect on both their national and regional identity and their personal identity.

The project was launched in connection with West Nordic Day 2020, and the plan is to expand with a joint Nordic course in 2021.
