Arctic Winter Games 2026: Audition for cultural program
Are you born between 1/1-2005 and 31/12-2011? So, are you between 14 and 20 years old? Are you passionate about culture and performance? Are you dreaming of traveling to Whitehorse, Canada in March 2026? Then you now have the opportunity to help create and present the Greenlandic cultural element at next year’s Arctic Winter Games. We look forward to receiving your audition video!
WHO CAN AUDITION?
We are looking for six young participants between the ages of 14 and 20 from all over Greenland for the cultural delegation.
HOW DO I AUDITION?
Make a short video on your mobile phone. It should be between 2-5 minutes long. You can choose to speak in Greenlandic, English or Danish.

WHAT SHOULD THE VIDEO CONTAIN?
Tell us about yourself! Who are you? What do you do in your everyday life? What are you dreaming of? Why should YOU join? We want to see your personality. It is important that this is clearly stated in your video. Show us what you’re good at. Do you play music? Do you sing? Do you love dance, gymnastics or movement? Do you dance mask dance, or do you play the drums? Are you a storyteller or maybe just super funny? You decide what you want to share with us – we want to see what you are good at and what you think is fun!
WHO SEES MY VIDEO?
The video is only seen by the team working with the Arctic Winter Games. It will not be shared with others or published.
IS THERE A DEADLINE?
Remember to send your video no later than August 27, 2025, at 12:00.
WHAT SHOULD HAPPEN AFTER I SEND MY VIDEO?
Our team will review all videos and select participants to proceed to a conversation. If you are selected, you should be able to travel to Nuuk during the autumn break. Everyone who has submitted a video will be notified whether they have been selected for the interview by the 10th of September.

The Arctic Winter Games are a high-profile Circumpolar sport competition for northern and arctic participants.
Participants come from Alaska, Northern Alberta, Yukon, Nunavut, Nunavik, Northwest Territories, Greenland, Finland and Norway.
Designed to celebrate the unique sports and cultural heritage of the Arctic, this gathering showcases a diverse range of competitions, traditional sports, and cultural events. With a strong emphasis on fostering friendship, cultural exchange, and athletic excellence, the Arctic Winter Games has become a platform for showcasing the talents and traditions of northern communities.
