Bea Husum Terkildsen<\/span> is <\/span>NAPA\u2019s<\/span> new Project Manager and Advisor. <\/span>She<\/span> will<\/span> help<\/span> further<\/span> develop<\/span> Creative Greenland<\/span> and <\/span>create<\/span> better<\/span> opportunities<\/span> for artists and <\/span>cultural<\/span> practitioners<\/span> in Greenland. <\/span>Bringing<\/span> experience<\/span> from the <\/span>tourism<\/span> industry<\/span>, <\/span>she<\/span> has a <\/span>strong<\/span> eye<\/span> for <\/span>building<\/span> relationships<\/span>, <\/span>creating<\/span> structure<\/span>, and <\/span>driving<\/span> projects<\/span> forward.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Bea is originally from Qeqertarsuatsiaat and grew up in both Nuuk and Denmark. Before joining NAPA, she worked with tourism and destination development at Visit Nuuk.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Now, she will apply her experience in a new context. As a Project Manager, one of her key responsib<\/span>ilities will be to devel<\/span>op initiatives that can make a tangible difference for people working in arts\u00a0and cultural sector\u00a0in Greenland.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Better Conditions for Artists and Cultural Practitioners<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

A large part of Bea\u2019s work will be connected to <\/span>Creative Greenland.<\/span><\/b> The initiative aims to strengthen opportunities for artists and culture bearers\u00a0in Greenland through skills development, advisory services, and increased visibility.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

As part of Creative Greenland, Bea will help develop an incubation-programme<\/b> that brings together mentoring, advisory and other opportunities for people working\u00a0with\u00a0creative medias. One of her tasks will be to ensure coherence across these offerings and make them easy to navigate and access.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u201cWhen you are an artist, your most important job is to create and practice your art. But if you want to make a living from it, many practical and administrative responsibilities come with it. I would like to help provide artists with the tools, knowledge, and networks they need<\/em>.\u201d<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

The goal is to give artists a stronger foundation for deciding on their next steps and to help create the conditions that allow them to develop their practice in ways that are meaningful to them.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Turning Id<\/span><\/b>eas into Concrete Opportunities<\/span><\/b>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

Bea is looking forward to\u00a0start\u00a0Creative Greenland\u2019s activities. She’s especially excited about travelling across Greenland, sharing information about the opportunities available, and meeting artists and culture\u00a0bearers\u00a0throughout the country.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

These face-to-face meetings will not only help raise awareness of Creative Greenland but also give Bea a deeper understanding of the diverse needs that exist within Greenland\u2019s arts and cultural landscape.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

She considers her ability to build relationships, create structure, and maintain momentum among her greatest strengths. She hopes to use these skills to turn ideas into concrete opportunities that are easy to use.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>
