Representatives from across the Arctic region gathered in Nuuk for two panel discussions exploring civil preparedness, search and rescue (SAR), and the importance of Arctic cooperation and coordination. The event marked both<\/span> West Nordic Day and the 30th anniversary of the Nordic Arctic <\/span>Programme<\/span>.<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The evening started with an opening speech <\/span>by <\/span>Susanne Andreasen<\/span><\/b>, Director of NAPA, while the discussions were moderated by <\/span>Patrick Muller Abrahamsen<\/span><\/b>, hoist operator at Air Greenland and emergency preparedness consultant.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

At the heart of the discussions were questions about what civil preparedness means within the different Arctic\u00a0communities and how well Arctic societies are equipped to face future challenges.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
