Nordic Council of Ministers\u2019 Arctic cooperation programme, the Nordic Arctic Programme, awards 10.3 million DKK to 23 high-quality projects. The Nordic Arctic Programme is administered by The Nordic Institute in Greenland (NAPA) in collaboration with Ilisimatusarfik.<\/strong><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

During the latest application around, Nordic Arctic Programme 2025-2027: A Redilient Arctic <\/em>received 60 highly relevant apllications.<\/p>

At the annual meeting of the Nordic Advisory Committee for the Arctic (NRKA), held this year in Nuuk, it was recommended that funding be granted to 23 projects which are all aligned with the Nordic Council of Ministers\u2019 Vision 2030: a green, competitive and socially sustainable Nordic Region.<\/p>

The ambition of the Nordic Council of Ministers is for the Nordic Arctic Programme 2025\u20132027 to strengthen sustainable development in the Arctic through Nordic cooperation. The programme\u2019s overall objective is to promote resilience – socially, economically and environmentally – in response to growing global and regional challenges. The funded projects reflect this vision, whether through documenting Indigenous place names across the Arctic, strengthening mental health and knowledge production in the education sector, enhancing food security, or developing green solutions to concrete climate challenges in the Arctic.<\/p>

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the Nordic Council of Ministers\u2019 Arctic Cooperation Programme. The Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers, Karen Ellemann says: The Arctic is high on the global agenda. In 2026, the Nordic Council of Ministers celebrates the 30th anniversary of the Nordic Arctic Programme, and we are therefore particularly pleased that we are able to support as many as 23 projects to further strengthen people-to-people cooperation in the Arctic.<\/em><\/p>

Commenting on the funding round, Director of the Nordic Institute in Greenland, Susanne Andreasen says; We are truly happy about the continued strong interest for the Nordic Arctic Programme. The projects cover a wide range of topics and demonstrate the importance of close collaboration across the region. This year, the Nordic Council of Ministers and NAPA are placing additional focus on events that highlight the Nordic Arctic Programme in celebration of its 30th anniversary. <\/em><\/p>
