NAPA, the Nordic Institute in Greenland, together with Ilisimatusarfik, manages the Nordic Council of Ministers’ Nordic Arctic Programme. This year, the programme’s open pool has received a record number of applications. In total, 21 projects are receiving support of 8.8 million kroner.<\/strong><\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tIn January, the Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers, Karen Ellemann, launched the Nordic Arctic Programme: A Resilient Arctic. The aim of the programme is to contribute to the Nordic Council of Ministers\u2019 Vision: That the Nordic Region will become the most sustainable and integrated region in the world in 2030.

The Nordic Arctic Programme 2025-2027 aims to support socially, economically, and environmentally resilient Arctic communities. By promoting robust civil societies, sustainable economic growth, and green transitions, the programme aims to support local initiatives and partnerships that inspire resilience across the Nordic-Arctic region.

The Secretary-General and the Director welcome the new decision<\/strong>

Secretary General of the Nordic Council of Ministers, Karen Ellemann, welcomes the increased interest in Nordic cooperation in the Arctic: \u201cIn a time of geopolitical unrest and climate change, the pressure is being felt in the Arctic. That is precisely why Nordic cooperation is more important than ever. When we learn from each other and stand together across cultures and countries, we stand stronger than we do individually. It is also very pleasing that this year we can contribute to meeting the great interest in Nordic cooperation in the Arctic with an extraordinarily large grant.\u201d<\/em>
